Welcome to Jackson River Estate that features 3 dwellings on 900 ft of River frontage in the beautiful Virginia mountains. This listing is for the cottage. The cottage is a 1300+ sq ft 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home that offers a nicely equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and will sleep 6 guests. The master bedroom offers a private deck that overlooks the river and mountains. You will have river views from the two downstairs bedrooms. We have given the cottage a cozy vibe that will not disappoint. If you do venture outside you will not be disappointed. The property just off of the Jackson River Scenic trail which is known for bike riding and leisure walks. During the summer adults and kids alike will be seen kayaking or floating by in their river tubes. It is well known for the floating experiences offered here. Floats range anywhere from 45 minutes, 2 hours, or an all day 8 hour float down the Jackson River. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.

Charming 2 bedroom 1 bath guest house sleeps four looking over the Cowpasture River on a 350 acre working farm. Guest may use of our concrete tennis court and explore miles of hiking trails that lead to the national forest. Farm is surrounded by over 2.5 miles of the Cowpasture River. There is a gravel beach right beside the bridge entering the farm where one can enjoy wading and swimming. River here is 3-4 feet deep depending on the season and stream flow.
