“Moonshine Hideaway” KING BED/Wood Stove/Romantic

You won’t forget your time in this romantic, memorable place. A large comfy 14’X16’ safari tent on a deck 4.5’ off ground to take you away from it all! Luxurious King sized bed with memory foam mattress and a leather sofa bed. We are off grid so we provide a WOOD STOVE, wood bundles are $5 each, propane heater and power station provided for lights and charging your electronics. Extra guests after 2 are $15 pp. a night. Please let me know if you need more bedding beyond the first two guests.

Our family friendly home is 2 blocks to shopping and dining on Main St., close to the local coffee shop and grocery store, as well as many local attractions. The Goldendale Observatory, Presby Museum, Maryhill Museum and Vineyard, Stonehenge Memorial and St. John the Forerunner Monastery and Bakery are great places to explore and are about 15 minutes away. Our home is THE spot to stay while on your next adventure.

We chose to share our guest house primarily because the idea of sharing our stunning view appeals to us very much. We are so fortunate to have a view so special that we wanted to build a guest house for our friends and you! We designed our 600 square foot modern guest house with the intent of creating a very private honeymoon suite. Enjoy a fully private space, featuring a cozy bedroom with a queen bed. A spacious living room with a queen sofa bed and extra seating for more guests. The green room provides a separate work space and dressing room. Farra's kitchen has all your cooking essentials including local coffee, spices and more. The dining area seats four easily with room for more. The bathroom has been completely remodeled and offers a walk in shower. Free Wi-Fi, Roku and shower essentials are included.

Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located retreat! Within 3-miles of mall, shopping, dining, and top wineries. Relax in the luxurious, spacious shower, lounge in the comfortable king-sized bed, or be productive at your own work station. NOTE: this is a basement walk-out apartment underneath our family’s living space. While we have gone to extensive lengths to eliminate sound transfer, you may still hear occasional footsteps above (especially 7-9 am and 5-7 pm).

You are invited to stay in a Klickitat County landmark, listed on both the state and federal registers of historic places. The Red House built for the ‘Horse King of the Northwest’ Charles Newell and his wife Mary in 1890, is now a distinctive vacation rental. The Red House’s three stories are furnished with art, antique/vintage finds, colored glass windows, original ornamental trim, fresh linens and comfortable beds.
