Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. The closest boat ramp is located at Tinaburra which is only a couple of mins away. Yungaburra village is also a couple of mins drive and it is 15 min to Atherton and just over 1hr to Cairns.

A self contained, one bedroom cottage with all amenities on the edge of Herberton on the Atherton Tablelands. The cottage has a verandah with bush views and BBQ. Part of a secure 1 hectare (2 acres) estate, the cottage is 200m from the main historic homestead. There is plenty to do here, including museums, bush walking and pack donkey treks, day trips to some real outback towns and other attractions, all only 1.5 hours' drive from Cairns International Airport. Welcome to my eclectic cottage close to everything, a great base to explore the local area. A short bike ride or walk to the Atherton Rail Trail which links to the Mountain Bike Park, and the Atherton town and cafe's. Consider it a home away from home, rather than a luxury retreat. If you come again you will see the improvements over time. It is a work in progress so please don't expect brand new everything! If you are looking for bookings later in the year please contact me.
