Peaceful tiny house with amazing view of Sharp Top Mountain! Features: hot tub, outdoor dining area, small kitchenette amenities, and smart-tv w/firestick (must use your hotspot to stream). 10 min to BR Parkway, Peaks of Otter, and Claytor Nature Center. Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. (Look for Wind Tides Farm sign). ***If booking in winter months, keep in mind the wind tends to be heavy, depending on weather.***

Black Water Junction Cabin

Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

Completely renovated home on a quiet country road. New kitchen, bathroom, and deck. Private backyard with deck, grill, outside table and gas fire pit. The house is easily accessible with a flat driveway and one step up from the sidewalk. One king and 2 XL twin beds with all bedding washed after each guest. Bedrooms have room darkening shades. 300 Mbps wifi and a smart TV in the living room. Check out the Airbnb next door (Maple Glen) if you are traveling with a larger group.

Bring your family to enjoy smores in the fire pit, grilling on the back deck, and lovely creek in the back yard. 10 minutes away, host a beautiful Smith Mountain Lake with plenty of activities. Boat rentals, put put, arcade, and great restaurants just down the road. There is plenty of room for parking for all who want to bring your own boat.

18th Century Cabin Retreat

Come enjoy our 18th century cabin! They don't make them like this anymore. One side built in 1750, the other in 1825. Sit under the giant white oak and enjoy the country air. This is a wonderful retreat to kick back and relax. Enjoy the pool, horseshoes, and fire pit. In the winter months, cozy up by the wood stove or fire place with gas logs. NO PETS!!! My late wife, Gail, & I came out of retirement to renovate this unique home with a completely new kitchen, vinyl plank flooring, new deck & new well in the Fall of 2019. This 3 bedroom lakehouse is very secluded within about an hour drive from Lynchburg, Roanoke or Danville. The dock and boat ramp are especially convenient. Keep an eye out for eagles, osprey, deer, bear, turkeys, otters, geese & heron.
