The Purple House

The Purple House has a unique and artsy feel that will give you a one of a kind stay. From its crazy design to bold colors, you will feel you are in your happy place. The house offers a 500 square foot master bedroom with a living area, kitchen space/mini refrigerator, fireplace, a loft, and a large bathroom/shower. There are 2 other bedrooms with full baths. The outdoor area includes a firepit and tables as well as a Barbecue grill. All surrounded by a huge deck and beautiful landscaping.

Historic Loblolly Lodge at Ratcliff Lake

The Loblolly Lodge was built by Frank Taylor as a gathering place for his family around 1940. Remodeled in 2018, it now boasts of all the modern conveniences for a great getaway. With 2400sf of indoor living space & a 640sf covered back porch there is plenty of space for several families. The Lodge is nestled on 11 private wooded acres adjacent to Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest which offers fishing, swimming, picnicking, and hiking for a small entrance fee.

Staying here is like a visiting your Mamaw's house. It's simple, old fashioned decor is family friendly. The big front porch is a perfect place to sit with your coffee and watch the birds and butterflies, which are plentiful. Located adjacent to the Davy Crockett National Forest, we also have many deer and other critters in the woods behind the house. There are no visible neighbors, access is by a dirt road. Star gazing here is amazing! It's also only 30 minutes to either Crockett or Lufkin.

A little heaven , tucked away at the back of 3 acres at back of our property. Cal and Carolyns little efficiency apt stays booked almost year round. Exceptionally clean and has every thing you need for a short weekend or an extended stay. Eff has full size kitchen and washer and dryer. It has two seating areas outside, one is covered and one under the stars and ambience lights around firepit. There is two grills provided, one gas and one charcoal to suit you. Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. This is a 1950’s home that has been completely renovated. 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. This was my best friend’s childhood home and we bought it after her Mom died. The house sits on a little over an acre of land, a big beautiful oak tree provides lots of shade in the front.
