The road is a Montana style dirt road. When there is NO snow any car will make it up the hill. In Winter you will need a four wheel vehicle. We snowplow the road as necessary in winter. The Cottage is a delightful retreat in the foothills of the gorgeous Bitterroot Mountains, 2 miles outside of Hamilton, Montana. We are a family of four living the good life on our small working farm and The Cottage is our vacation rental nestled into the center of our property. Complete with it's own driveway and nicely fenced off from the rest of the busy goings on of the barnyard, it is separate from our space, but animal sights and sounds are sometimes a part of the experience.
