Hegranes guesthouse on a farm

We would like to welcome you to come and stay in our lovely guesthouse at our farm in the heart of Skagafjordur. Here you can relax and enjoy your evening in our hot tub, take a walk to visit our calm and gentle horses, we also own a beautiful lake and we are "forest farmers" i.e. we plant 10.000 trees each year and we can highly recommend a stroll through our young forest to the lake. There will be sheep, chicken, cats and dogs around and next to the house there is a beautiful old church:)

Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

And then there is a nice private bathroom. Steinnes is a farm located in picturesque Icelandic scenery with a beautiful view of mountains and the river running by. It lies 15 minutes (by car) south of Blönduós and 2 km from the main road.

Cozy 4-Person Cottage with Hot Pool

Our cozy cottage with a geothermal hot pool, offers a quiet retreat where you can slow down and enjoy the calm of North Iceland. The hot pool, located just a few steps from the cottages, is available to our guests 24 hours a day, all year round. It is a perfect place to relax in summer and watch northern lights in winter. We are easy to reach (even with a small car) in all seasons and there are many activities and natural landmarks in our area.

Cosy and spacious apartment located in a private and quiet area in Hvammstangi. Only a 15 minute walk to the centre where you can find the supermarket, restaurant and liquor store. Private patio with a nice view over the country side. The cottage is designed in the old Icelandic country style, but with house heating, hot water, well equipped modern kitchen, dish washer and a wood burning stove. The ground floor is 35 (square m.) Upstairs there is a 20 square m. sleeping attic with one Queen Size bed.

Frostastaðir - A new loft with spectacular view

We have just recently reconstructed the attic in our house into studio apartments. The space has a new bed and a sofa that can be changed into a cozy bed for 1 if you need. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and the view is extraordinary!
