Situated at the start of the Wasdale and Eskdale we are perfect for anyone wishing to climb Scafell or just enjoy the two stunning valleys. Brave drivers and cyclists may wish to tackle Hardnott pass at the top end of Eskdale. Ravensglass village and beaches a short walk away, also set on the Fell above the cottage is the amazing Muncaster Castle and Owl centre. Children and Pet friendly 🐾👍🏼

High Eskholme is a detached cottage sitting in the heart of Eskdale estate set within the valley of Eskdale in the western Lake District, an area of outstanding natural beauty . On stepping out of the front door, there are walks for all abilities, over Muncaster Fell, a flat walk through woodland or walks along the river Esk. For the more ambitious, Scafell pike and the Wasdale Valley are just a car ride away, or Perhaps you would like to play the stunning 18 hole golf course, or fish the Esk.

Our restored La'al barn is a perfect home away from home. We are situated on the coast in the Lake District national park and are part of an old farm complex, with working farms surrounding. There is much natural beauty surrounding us - the sea- the fells- the lakes, in fact a bit of everything. This area is perfect for those who love the outdoor life and exploring. The King George pub is only a minute walk away, serving lovely home cooked food and real ale. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as “La’al Ratty” is only a ten minute walk from the cottage. Eskdale Stores is open daily. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.
