Grandview Yurt

The Grandview Yurt at Hogback Homestead is nestled into the mountains of Vermont. It features beautiful views, and is a minimalist and peaceful alternative to the more populated resort towns. The kitchenette is basic but provides the necessities, and the restroom is an outdoor sawdust style composting toilet. Electricity is supplied via a small off grid solar array, suitable for light electrical use (charging computers and electronics, powering lights etc). Please provide your own bedding!

Situated a stone's throw from Section 17 of the Catamount Trail, VT's end-to-end x-country ski trail, you will discover both moderate and advanced adventures here. Rugged but cozy, our yurt warms up quickly thanks to its resident "Aspen" wood stove. Add a charming outhouse, farm pump, deck & picnic table to the picture, and you'll be camping in style.

Hillside campsite at Barnbrook

Escape to this remote site surrounded by trees. This private site sits on 20 acres with plenty of woods to explore. The site is located at the top of a hill overlooking the valley. Site includes a picnic table, fire pit, and charcoal grill. There is no WiFi or water at the site, however you can access WiFi and a hose with potable water by our house which is about 100 yards from the site. There is a brook at the bottom of the driveway leading to the site that you also may access.

Riverside Tent Camping Site

Get back to nature! This is a quite riverside primitive campsite. NO BATHROOMS so everything is natural. Come let the tranquil noise of our river lul you to sleep in the fresh Adirondack mountain air. Lots of hiking, boating, rock climbing and mountain biking near by. Only 25 minutes to Lake Placid ( home of two winter Olympics) for some of the Adirondacks best restaurants and tourist destination. There are NO trash facilities on site, so if you pack it in, pack it out!

Camping on a Private Pond

A serene place in nature to unplug and unwind. It's private and quiet with the exception of the sound of the running brook. (NO WIFI or CELL service at the cabin) May come to the house if you need to get in touch during your stay. There is local hiking and two large lakes close by. Farmer's markets and acclaimed theatre are available throughout the Fall Season along with local beer-fests. Most of all, we have one of the most stunning foliage seasons in the country!
