An Architects Studio- In a Secluded Forest

This incredible space has been the inspirational hub for designing the most creative projects in Humboldt during the past 18 years. Now it has been reborn as an immersive space to enjoy the redwoods. Every inch has been thoughtfully designed to allow our guests to feel the enveloping majestic nature of the surrounding forest. Upon arrival, a golf cart awaits for your journey through the woods, to the upper landing of the raised boardwalk crossing over a seasonal creek bringing you to The Studio.

Our yurt is privately located on a ten acre property with its own entrance and nestled up against national forest. A short creek trail right from your front door is for you to enjoy at your own risk! You’ll have the view of Ironside Mountain and the sound of the rushing Hennessy Creek while you’re soaking in an outdoor tub giving you that peaceful getaway feel. Fishing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, mountain biking and dirt bike riding are just some of what’s to offer in these rugged lands.

Alpine Camp is an A-frame tiny cabin in the Shasta-Trinity Nat'l Forest; on a private, low-impact campground. Overlooking a 30-foot natural waterfall*, surrounded by ferns, and mossy forest, it’s a basecamp made for relaxing. The cabin’s translucent pop-up window opens into a covered awning, giving you a front-row seat to the forest, no matter the weather, while the mosquito netting keeps the bugs away. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cottage in the woods. The neighborhood is quiet making this the perfect place to unwind. You are just a 5 minutes drive to downtown Willow Creek, Kimtu, Big Rock and many Trinity River swim spots. Rafting, kayaking and hiking are all available close by. It is off Seeley Mckintosh Road, just 5 minutes from Willow Creek. This house does not have river access. Please be respectful of the neighbors and their private property.

The property is in a redwood forest with a good size meadow for sunshine and flowers. It's a great base camp for exploring the beautiful beaches, Redwood forest and local cities of Trinidad and Arcata. Maximum 3 guests, or 4 guests if one or more guests are under 12.

Our yurt is a place of tranquility & fun in the round. It’s a perfect for a romantic getaway or family vacation. You have private river access located next to the Strawhouse Cafe’ across the street where you can swim, fish, relax, and/or hike nearby trails. The kitchen has a mini fridge, air fryer, toaster oven, induction plate & microwave and is stocked with cups, plates, silverware, etc. Charcoal BBQ is in share area outside.
