Unfortunately you cannot dive from or dock boat on wharf. Ideal for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing or simply just putting your feet up and relaxing. After a day on the water relax in front of a small campfire and watch the boats returning for the evening as the sunsets. A perfect, well deserved day of peace, calm and tranquility.

So popular was Lakeside 1, in 2024, we openeded Lakeside 2, almost identical and about 100 feet away from its sister cabin, it, too, offers a wonderful covered porch overlooking the Bra d'Or lakes. Reservations are currently available for 2+ nights.

Welcome to “Point Beithe” (birch point in Gaelic). This beautiful home sits on its own point surrounded by 180° of Mira River waterfront age. You will also enjoy access to your own small private island that is connected by a shallow sand bar. Sit out on the large deck or floating dock to enjoy the views of the river, launch kayaks, paddle boards, and swim. We have signed up for the strongest internet service offered in the area (Starlink). Cellular reception is not great in the area.

Woodsy Cabin on the Bras d'Or

Beautiful, rustic cabin sits cozily surrounded by woodlands. This one room retreat boasts a south west vista of the Bras d'Or Lake, includes a veranda with gorgeous sunsets, king size bed and access to the beach. It is half way between Baddeck and Sydney and a perfect spot for anyone travelling the Cabot Trail. Firewood provided for fire pit if the burn ban is not in effect. Kayaks are available to use at your own risk, with life jackets, and if you are experienced in paddling.

Simple but extremely comfortable our second home has all the amenities you will need for a relaxing getaway! Fully equipped kitchen with open-concept, cozy living room. Two double bedrooms and a full bathroom are on the second level. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening nightcap on the master bedroom balcony. A sunroom on the main floor completes this welcoming cottage.

Lofty Cottage on Bras d’Or Lakes

This cottage can sleep 6 people very comfortably. Two of the beds are double, so two more can fit if needed. Two bathrooms also help. There is an upstairs deck, great for star gazing or watching the sun set. There’s also a lower deck off the kitchen, for relaxing. This country property has a septic system, so I kindly ask that guests use the facilities accordingly. Let this centrally located, rural property, be your crash pad for your Cape Breton vacation.
