The Garden Retreat is a self contained dwelling, at the end of our garden. In a quiet residential area of Dorchester, in the summer there may be some noise from the surrounding gardens. Access from the road, leads directly to the Garden Retreat. We are in easy walking distance (about 10 minutes) from the centre of Dorchester. here you will find Cafes, restaurants and shops Dorchester is an historic town, with many place of interest. No Visitors. No smoking or vaping, on the premises. No pets.

Shepherd's Cottage

Shepherd's cottage is a delightfully cosy annexe with it's own private entrance and own cottage garden. Tucked away on a no through road, that leads directly onto a bridleway and footpaths, Shepherd's cottage makes an ideal place to stay for those who simply want to get away from it all. We welcome 2 small dogs ( pet fee applies) and horses - with a choice of fields to keep your horse in ( additional charge of £25 per night for horses). We are so excited about our conversion. Completely self-contained, it is a lovely, light, cosy open space with a well equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and a cool sleeping platform/mezzanine. Piddlehinton is a special place, 20 mins from the Jurassic Coast and 10 mins from Dorchester, in the renowned Piddle Valley, with beautiful walks, views and our award winning pub, The Thimble Inn. We are right next door if you need anything, but if you prefer your privacy, you can be totally separate.

The pretty village of Winterbourne St. Martin (Martinstown) has a great pub and a super village shop both within a short walk. Close to the Jurassic Coast and spectacular country views, its the perfect place to chill after a walk, a day at the beach (approx five miles away) or visiting the many attractions in and around Dorchester. Guests have a private garden, and access to a tennis court.

You can park your car directly in front of the Airbnb where there is seating for Airbnb use only. It is a very quiet village and at night if you switch all the lights off and it is a clear night you can see the Milky Way.
