Anderson Lake Unplugged: A Wild Waterfront Retreat

Where the road ends, Anderson Lake begins. Welcome to a 14-acre waterfront escape with access to 1,000 feet of shoreline - approximately 2 hours north of Whistler, but far from the usual. Surrounded by mountains, forest, water, and open sky, this is a place to settle in and let the day unfold. Some days are calm and glassy. Other times, a warm wind moves through, bringing a different kind of energy to the lake. Swim, paddle, sail, fish, explore, gather, linger. Here, the lake sets the pace.

Close to Tatlayoko Lake, well known for its wind and kite surfing, fishing, boating and swimming/exploring/hiking opportunities. Adjacent valleys and offer similar recreational opportunities. Birken House is located above a home based bakery in the grounds of a 110-year old farmhouse, and is rumoured to be the location of an original stagecoach stop on the Douglas Trail. It’s 30 minutes north of Pemberton, and is a great base from which to explore Birkenhead Provincial Park, Gates and Anderson Lakes
