StrawFork is for all 4 seasons! 6 miles souteast of Fossil near the John Day River for fishing and rafting or explore the High Desert with forests, ranches, rock quarries, dig for fossils, rugged mountains! It would be a perfect anyone who wants to enjoy serenity away from the hustle and bustle of life. Our cabin would be peaceful, relaxing or inspiring to those that need a place to work and/or be creative. It is on the Journey thru Time Hwy! Visit all of John Day Fossil Bed natl. Monument!

Spray Home-entire, private home waiting for you.

The J & O Guesthouse was built in the early 1900s and has undergone significant additions and renovations to make it a very comfortable home. Two large living rooms, two bedrooms are waiting for you near the center of Spray. Just bring your own food and kick back for a pleasant stay. We are happy to share our extra house with you and hope you enjoy it. The views in Wheeler County are spectacular and there is fantastic fishing, hunting and the nearby John Day Fossil Beds and Painted Hills.

Buckaroo Suite - Wilson Ranches Retreat

This suite combines the western décor and homespun atmosphere of the Wrangler room along with the Buckaroo room’s bright and sunny American Spirit-inspired cowboy and rodeo atmosphere. Both rooms feature queen beds and Eastern Oregon western juniper accents the walls in both rooms. Located on the main floor, this suite encourages guests to open the window and enjoy the fresh air and sounds of nature. At day’s end, marvel over the unmatched sunsets and starry nights in the Butte Creek Valley.

We are located directly off the path of the scenic John Day By-Way gate way to the John Day Fossil Beds. 6 minutes away from the fully stocked fishing hole "Rowe creek Reservoir." 12 minutes away from Twickenham boat launch. 47 minutes from The Painted Hills & 23 away from our local Tiger Town Brewery. Tim-Buck II cabin is a new addition to us. It has been newly remodeled and is part of our family heritage. I do offer prepared meals & shopping with advance notice. Store hours are limited.
