This quiet retreat is all at ground level with a private patio. It is wheelchair friendly with wide doorways and no stairs.

Kitchen does not have a stove/oven but includes microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, fridge, blender, kettle. Please use our little library to discover new and old treasures!

For the fishing enthusiasts an array of fish can be caught from the dock to incl, sheep's head, flounder, puppy drum, speckled trout, blue fish, crabs and more.

You will not forget your stay at the River Watch Retreat, and will want to tell your friends. This beautiful cabin offers a full NW view of the Carolina Blue Sky and setting sun on ENC's Trent River. Interior is paneled in locally sourced Poplar with Cedar accents. Beadboard and custom ceramic tile compliment the bathroom. Sleeping options: foldout couch downstairs and futon in loft. *Watch Bald Eagles, Geese, Heron and Osprey from 2 elevated decks a stone's throw from the water!

Located only one block from the boat ramp at the Trent River in Pollocksville, NC and nearly halfway between Downtown Historic New Bern and Jacksonville, and only a 1/2 hour from Emerald Isle beaches – Cottage at the Trent is a stand-alone newly-remodeled guest house featuring a stocked kitchen, full bathroom, large loft area for sleeping plus a reading/game area. The unit sleeps 4 – 5 and the property allows for parking trailered boats or RV’s.

You also have use of a shared dock off to the side of the property.

It is a perfect place to rest and relax and enjoy country, river life. The carriage house is 650 sq feet of open living space with a full bath, queen size bed, living area and full size kitchen on the second floor of our carriage house. It is private. There is a deck with wonderful views of boating and sunsets. You have access to our dock for sun bathing, fishing and swimming.
