Atelier was inspired by painting holidays in France. It is a spacious studio at Hylands providing a base for escape, rest and adventure. It is cosy with a wood burner, uses high quality materials throughout, curated with love and care. Surrounded by beautiful gardens to explore, where you can dine al fresco or just sit and watch the wildlife and the ever changing views. It's 12 minutes walk to Kendal's many independent shops and restaurants, and 5 minutes to our local pub, the 'Riflemans Arms'.

Transport is easy, 5 minutes from jct 40 at Penrith, on the A686. 1.5 hours from Newcastle and a 10 min walk from the Carlisle/Settle/Leeds station line.

The Old Potting Shed is a romantic hideaway for two set in the walled garden of the owners' house with its own private entrance. The retreat is totally secluded, but still just a minutes walk to Sedbergh's lovely pubs and cafes. It's the perfect base: head out walking in the hills straight from your door or use our electric bikes to explore the quiet lanes. When you get back, soak in the wood fired hot tub and enjoy a drink on the terrace while admiring the wonderful view of the fells.

Nestled in the hills 5 minutes outside Kendal, the hut sits in a private meadow, enjoying far reaching fell views. Hunker down with a book, play board games and unplug from the rest of the world or use it as a base to explore the beautiful Lake District National Park. Step inside and you'll find a King sized bed and cosy log burner. Outside, enjoy the dark skies from the private fire pit area. The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top was newly built in 2019 on the ruins of an old barn and decorated to the highest standards of industrial chic.
