The Sea Cubby, Private Holiday Lodge, Portling.

The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. The Lodge has a large glass roofed deck. Well behaved dogs are considered, please ask first.

Lovely wooden holiday lodge in a beautiful scenic area on the Solway coast. This lodge has 3 bedrooms, open plan kitchen /living area, toilet and shower room, balcony, and parking for two cars. (sorry, no pets allowed) We are 10 mins walk from the tidal estuary, cockle shell beach and woodland walks , & 2min ride from Dalbeattie 7 Stanes Mountain bike trails Sadly The Anchor village pub closed in Dec25, and The Mariner won't open until summer 26. Other pubs/takeaways within 5-10min drive.

At '235' you will have your own private space to enjoy day or night. The comfortable sofa bed can be made up ready for your arrival or left as a sofa for you to relax. Staying in the centre of town, close to takeaways, a brewery, galleries, shops, park and Carlingwalk Loch. Facilities include a 50" smart tv, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, table and chairs. Free WiFi. On street parking outside the property. Unfortunately no dogs/children/infants are allowed. Oak Tree Hut is situated on our working sheep farm in Dumfries and Galloway. The views from the hut looks over St John’s Town of Dalry and up onto the Rhinns of Kells. Lie in bed watching the sunrise and sit on the verandah or soak in the outside bath while watching the sunset. Watch the bird life and livestock peacefully fly and amble by. The hut has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
