NB: LINEN, TOWELS & TOILETRIES NOT PROVIDED! Snug little mid-terrace property in a tiny village on Hadrian's Wall on the English side of the Solway Firth. Rather shabby but full of character & very cosy. Port Carlisle has a faded splendour - built on the site of a fishing village, for a brief time it was a major port serving Carlisle, with its own canal & later a railway; in the 1850s the Firth silted up so ships could no longer get in. Birdwatchers, walkers, fans of history, dogs will love it!

This beautiful and very tastefully newly restored cottage has a kitchen, shower room, large sitting room and 2 very spacious bedrooms all with spectacular, uninterrupted views of the Solway Firth and the English Lake District mountains. The traditional stone cottage has a lovely garden at the front with lots of space to sit and enjoy the views, there is ample parking space and a sitting area at the rear of the cottage. The area boasts lots of lovely places to eat and relax. Ideal for walking and cycling. Gretna Gateway Outlet Village and famous wedding venue is just a 10-minute drive away.
