This is a very well-known area, which saw the flourishing of a number of "Vesuvian villas", during the XVIII century. The house used to belong to the watchman, "il guardiano" of the Villa; The watchmen was in charge of preserving the quiet of the beautiful palace and the one who took care of the lush garden and ancient trees, which you can still admire nowdays.
