Over breakfast you'll get the lowdown on Cape Town’s culinary landscape and Nikki will share where she loves to eat and drink in the Mother City. You get to tap the knowledge of a born-and-bred Capetonian who also happens to work as a food editor, researcher and writer - and leave with notes and plenty of ideas on how to plot out your dining strategy. Think of it as the friend you would contact when touching down in a city because they share the best addresses and offer good advice. Plan this for the first day of your visit and use the recommendations throughout the rest of your trip.
This experience is hosted by Nikki and recommendations are informed by Nikki and Brandon's unique perspective, which is that of wine-loving omnivores focussed on terroir and technique.

Das Meeting mit den beiden war sehr nett und sehr informativ. Sie haben meine Vorlieben und Zielsetzungen schnell verstanden und haben mir unzählige und wertvolle kulinarische Tipps geben können. Auch in den Tagen danach haben sie mich weiter unterstützt, indem ich sie anrufen oder ein Bild eines Restaurants senden konnte. Ich bekam dann umgehend Hinweise, ob es sich lohnt und was die kulinarischen Highlights dieses Hauses seien. - Insgesamt ein voller Erfolg!

I couldn't recommend this enough! Nikki and Brandon are so great and so generous & knowledgeable about the food and wine scene. This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. If you like your food & wine, don't think about it twice - you won't regret it!

Nikki and Brandon are very much part of a movement taking South African cuisine to a place of excellence. They hosted myself and Lola at Hemelhuis, where the food was immaculate. South African favorites such as mosbolletjies rendered as a fine dining breakfast, while retaining the hearty sincerity of our cuisine. Nikki and Brandon adeptly and with huge charm can point you to whatever your food tastes are, from street food, to hearty fare to fine dining (without the pretensions!). They are au fait with our culinary history, the complex politics of cuisines and national identity, and also personally know the chefs at the forefront of re-creating our cuisine. In their words a cuisine in its twenties, exploring, experimenting and defining itself. We had a wonderful time and it put us in such a good mood it's hard to get back to work! But hey, you'll be in holiday so that won't be a problem!

Nikki & Brandon are passionate about food and they love sharing their enthusiasm. It was fascinating to hear their 'behind-the-scenes' stories of their favourite restaurants, wines & chefs. I have only one complaint; it was too short! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to learn about the hottest restaurants of the moment.
