At the arrival I will offer you breakfast, and I will give you a lab coat and a cap for the access to the production area. I’ll bring you along a complete tour to discover all the steps of Parmigiano Reggiano’s production. We’ll see where the animals are bred and where the milk is mould. We’ll go into the cheese factory during milk processing and we'll witness in cooking and making cheese wheels. We’ll see then the process of salting and maturing up to enter the huge “caveau”, where thousands of cheeses wheels are guarded and laid out in long rows in the silent maturation rooms and where the scent of cheese will smell so nice and exciting that we won’t be able to resist till the final tasting of cheese and local typical products.

I’m deeply connected to my roots. My grandpa was a producer of Parmigiano so as a child I could learn all the secrets of this cheese. We will see the places I have lived since I was a child, where my uncle still produces this cheese with the same passion that we share.I love conveying my knowledge to people from other countries, which I try to share the culture and traditions of my homeland with.

What a great experience! It was so cool to see all the steps of the parmigano reggiano cheese being made, aged, and even the dairy cows (including babies!). We will appreciate every bite of cheese a little more after seeing the hard work that goes into this family operation. This was a great experience for the children too and a safe/non-touristy activity. Claudio was a great professional and fun guide!

Claudio is from Reggio Emilia and grew up around parmigiano reggiano production — cheese is basically in his blood. The tour with Claudio was fun and extremely informative. After the cheese factory, we were taken to the farm where the cows are and then to their shop to try 12, 24, and 36 month aged parmigiano reggiano, balsamic vinegar, and a few local meat products. The tour started at a caffè with a traditional Italian breakfast and it was such a nice and thoughtful touch you don’t receive with most tours. Can’t recommend learning about parmigiano reggiano with Claudio enough. You won’t regret booking this experience with him.

Yes. The answer is yes. It’s a very good experience for 3.5 hours. The snacks in the morning, the tasting, everything was really good! Claudio is a lovely person. I totally recommend it!

I can highly recommend the tour! Claudio is such a nice person and you can really feel his passion when he is explaining the process how the reggiano is made. At no time it was boring! He explained it so well with a lot of Humor and a personal touch as this is a family business. We even visited his farm with newborn calves. At the end was the degustation of the cheese and also some self-produced balsamic vinegar which was the highlight!

La visita organizzata da Claudio è stata stupenda e perfetta in ogni minimo dettaglio. Claudio si è dimostrato un host eccellente preoccupandosi di farci sentire sempre a nostro agio, fin dal primo incontro davanti ad un’ottima colazione a base di prodotti tipici reggiani. Abbiamo avuto modo di scoprire dal vivo tutti i meravigliosi passaggi che si nascondono dietro la nascita di una forma di Parmigiano Reggiano e la passione con cui i caseari tramandano da secoli questa vera e propria arte. È stata un’esperienza assolutamente indimenticabile che mi sento di consigliare a tutti!

Such an amazing experience. I highly recommended to anyone visiting the region. I got a great insight into the work and passion and the process that goes into making parmigiana reggiano. It was also really fun visiting the farm and meeting their cows and seeing how much they care for them too. Their cheese Is absolutely delicious and I really enjoyed meeting Claudio. He made me feel very welcome and he himself is a very interesting and fun host.
