The apartment is on ground floor with veranda in front. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful yet close to the city center and the swimming pool. The biggest shopping mall in Akureyri is only few minutes away. At a walking distance, is a great viewpoint for enjoying the midnight sun. Skiing and hiking area ten minutes away. Very cozy atmosphere for two people with two comfortable single beds or one double bed, and a crib upon request. Third guest uses a sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped.

'Smiðjan' the Smithy has been lovingly restored focusing on original aesthetics and comfort. It is situated at the edge of a small industrial area where you can enjoy absolute privacy and not worry about neighbours. The large attic windows provide a perfect platform to view the northern lights and stunning views. Smiðjan is almost a 100 year old house on the shores of the little fishing village Dalvík in the north, with views of spectacular mountains and valleys where hiking is at your doorstep

Cottage in a beautiful valley

This nice cottage is situated in the middle of a beautiful valley, with no neighbors disturbing you. You have a sea view to the north. A stream with waterfalls and rapids down through the valley. The hut is also a good base for skitouring and moutain hiking (many trails in the area) and horse riding. We offer horse riding for additonal fee. We can ride a calm tour with beginners or a bit faster with more experienced riders. Horse riding is mostly available from May till September.

Our Cottage is one of a kind. It's modern, yet rustic, with large windows in all direction for the best view over the lake and mountains. It sits in a hill above Lake Ólafsfjörður and comes with a fishing permit. There is no light pollution in the area and therefore the winter nights light up the stars and the Northern Lights. The cottage is spacious with a double bed room and an attic with a beautiful view. Its only 5min drive from town Ólafsfjörđur.
