Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Brandywine Hideaway

Welcome to a private oasis for 2 guests, away from the hustle and bustle! Relax and enjoy our newly renovated, cozy little cottage surrounded by trees, perfect for a couple’s get-away any season of the year. Cottage is located by Brandywine Lake (we are not directly on the lake, behind is a wooded area which backs up to the lake), perfect for fishing, as we are close to the boat launch. Cottage is also only ½ mile from the Kal-Haven trail which goes from Kalamazoo to South Haven.

Cabin in the Woods

The cabin is nestled to the back of the 3.6 acres of a private wooded land with a short walk to the all sport lake. The updated home features two bedrooms, sleeping loft, family room, washer/dryer, all the amenities of home. Enjoy the 160 ft of lakefront off our private dock. We have 2 kayaks, a Canoe and a small fishing boat, floaties and life vests for boating or swimming. Enjoy a day at the lake, cook dinner on one of our grills and enjoy the evening by the firepit.
