Hummingbird House is a tiny house decorated in a vintage style, with quality craftsmanship, making use of all recycled building materials. Tucked away on 20 acres with gardens all around, goats, hens, ducks, dogs and cats. The house is newly remodeled and has kitchen, bathroom, double bed, single bed/nook/couch, and dining area table and chairs, with modern heating and air conditioning. Coffee, herbal teas from the garden, sugar, honey, creamy goat milk and cheese are all supplied from the farm.

At the end of the day, sit on the front porch and gaze over the valley and ponder what Mark Twain and so many settlers thought as they passed by this location.

Peaceful Cottage - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms

Our comfortable and quiet guest cottage is set among Ponderosa pines in the Sierra Nevada foothills, 15 minutes from more than 40 Shenandoah Valley wineries. Private tastings can be arranged. The pool is private to our guests and usually open after Memorial Day. About 50 mins to ski areas. The Cottage easily accommodates 2 couples in two bedrooms, each with private bathroom. EV charging is available - additional fee. The deck is great for outside dining or just enjoying a glass of wine.

This is an ideal romantic vacation spot for couples. It is located in a quiet, serene neighborhood and has a large deck to enjoy. There is usually snow in winter. This is a kid friendly property with a pack-n-play, booster seat, and a play kitchen area in the downstairs. There is a king bed located upstairs in the loft (winding staircase is steep) and a double bed located downstairs in a bedroom. You have the choice to tour the farm or you can choose to have complete seclusion and privacy. The main ranch house is 1/2 mile away.

Enjoy wine tasting, agricultural and history tourism, skiing, hiking, golfing, rafting, cycling and many more activities. The home is located off the beaten path, 35 minutes to the summit of the Sierra, 20 minutes to historical Placerville and other gold rush attractions, and just a few minutes to many of the apple hill farms. Note: This is a RURAL location.

Recreation includes: biking the country roads, floating the Mokelumne River, touring the Gold Country or exploring the Sierra's (we are 1.5 hour from Kirkwood).
