The Cookhouse - Beachside Hannah’s Clearing, Haast

Welcome to "The Cookhouse". Suituated a short 20 minute drive south of Haast, Hannahs Clearing is a small township established in 1962 to house workers the Carters Sawmill. The historic Cookhouse was built to cook for workers at the Mill, which eventually closed in 1979. The house sits in amongst native plantings on the beach side of the road, with access to the beach. The home is warm, cosy and sympathetic to its era. A fabulous getaway no matter the weather, for couples & families

The Tower, Okarito

The Tower is a comfortable two storey, seperate building with an upstairs bedroom with ensuite bathroom. It has excellent views of the sea and the Southern Alps. A warm, cosy and quiet space with a private garden. Free Wifi (system fully upgraded August 2021) Downstairs is the living room / kitchenette area. Upstairs and downstairs are connected by external stairs (see photos). Awesome outdoor bath - great for stargazing (new Aug 22). There are balconies on three sides of the tower.

A remote area well known in the outdoors community. Situated on a classic New Zealand high country station, the cabin gives it's guests access to one of the truly remote areas of the Southern Alps. Enjoy horse riding from our farm, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and much much more.

Beach walks, sunsets, jet boating, trout fishing, helicopter flights, hiking paths plus ocean & surf on the doorstep.

Blue Sky Cabin

Fancy a private place with mountain vistas, big wide open skies and a comfy warm bed and fully fenced private area? This is a self contained cabin with a seperate bedroom and ensuite. The cabin is situated on the corner of a 1 acre section surrounded by native plants and a small vegie bed for your use. Its located in Lake Hawea township and is a short drive or 12 min walk to the Lake. Wanaka township is a 15 min drive.
