Sit quietly in the evening with a glass of wine, around the brazier watching the stars appear, after you have enjoyed the many activities that Mangawhai has to offer. Beach walks, swims, surfing, golf, or any of the many bush walks or local weekend markets.

Your own three cabins are nestled near 800 year old trees and joined with lights, decks and pathways for you to wander and discover your bath. Moonrise was inspired by the movies of Wes Anderson. You will find it down a private country road in a garden filled with many birds who visit from the bush and nearby wetlands. At night the sky is full of stars. We have carefully crafted the cabins to provide a quirky off grid life and a tranquil experience where you can recharge in nature, read or play boardgames. The beach, along with shops and cafes are a 7 minute drive away and bush walks are just up the road.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.

We bring you the best of both worlds with great sea views set on 3 acres of beautiful native bush just minutes from Waipu Cove. This Modern Bach has a full kitchen, lounge, cinema/games room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Outside enjoy a huge wrap around deck, basketball court, outdoor shower, hidden patio with bush views and the peaceful sounds of nature. Packed away for your enjoyment are surfboards, bikes and more! Relax on the Kaipara Harbour

A lovely fully equipped modern cottage in a rural setting on the beautiful Kaipara Harbour (only 90 mins north of Auckland). Peaceful and private, you can lounge on the bean bags on the deck, or watch the tui as you soak in the bath. Native bush runs down to an estuary outside your floor to ceiling windows. Sheep, dogs, ducks and birdlife share the property with you as well as the occassional peacock harem.

Leave it all behind and unwind at this off grid eco-conscious glamping site overlooking peaceful native bush and farmland. Our north facing, sun soaked site is perfect for families, small groups and couples seeking a unique space for an escape. Totally off-grid, Arohanui offers campfires and tree swings, a beautiful open air cast iron bath and a cosy bedroom cabin with skylights for star gazing.
