The river is swim friendly, offering a variety of activities, from kayaking, boating and skiing or just relaxing at your private jetty. Relax in a delightful country house, based on traditional Kapstyl architectural heritage, River Shell House oozes charm & simplicity for unfussed holidays and getaways in a beautiful riverine setting. Lofty Pine is an Off-Grid Mountain getaway nestled in the tranquil village of Suurbraak, Western Cape. The unit can accommodates 4 guests and comprises 1 bedroom and a bathroom. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a double sleeper couch, with an en-suite fitted with a shower, washbasin, and toilet. Guests can make use of a communal kitchen fitted with all amenities as well as a Pizza oven. Outside, guests have access to a braai area and swimming pool. Secure parking is available.

BEAT THE WINTER BLUES with the new enclosed veranda as well as veranda fireplace and now also indoor fireplace. No LOADSHEDDING! No SALTWATER! The cottage is situated about 30 meters from the main house and 45m from the river. It is elevated and overlooks the BreedeRiver. 2 x two-man canoes are available. There is rainwater to be used as cooking and drinking water. There is a TV in the cottage with Netflix and DSTV Live connected. This is the place to relax and regroup. Enjoy

When we first opened our spot we were truly over the hills and far away... now the village has grown around us a bit, but the place can still feel pretty secluded. The architect-designed house mixes inside/outside space with plenty of room for family.. Explore wetland, river and the Langeberg mountains. With plenty of comforts this spot is paradise for children, dogs and a retreat for adults.
