The Blue Cow Barn - Betsie Cottage

The Blue Cow Barn Accommodation is situated on a working farm, 1km from Barrydale town centre. Our farm has gone through many seasons - from a fruit farm to a dairy farm and now a guest farm. Our cottages are named after the cows that were part of the dairy and Betsie is our most flamboyant and eccentric cottage and cow. You'll love this cottage as it is situated in the original farm barn that dates back to the 1960's and the gorgeous mountain view. This cottage also has access to the hot tub.

We are a working farm concentrating on olives. We hand harvest and produce extra virgin cold pressed olive oil and bottled olives. We have introduced zebra and various antelope that roam freely.

The cottage is situated about 30 meters from the main house and 45m from the river. It is elevated and overlooks the BreedeRiver. 2 x two-man canoes are available. There is rainwater to be used as cooking and drinking water. There is a TV in the cottage with Netflix and DSTV Live connected. This is the place to relax and regroup. Enjoy

Duntrune Beach House is situated in the secure Bosbokduin Private Nature Reserve overlooking the ocean. A short stroll down the dune takes you to the water's edge where the age-old fish trap pools create perfect swimming spots and the beach stretches as far as your eye can see. There are wonderful walking trails. We are also situated right next to the nine-hole golf course which provides panoramic views from virtually every tee. We are situated 2km from the town centre.
