It provides a unique, rural retreat for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers wishing to get away from it all. Sitting amongst beautiful, ancient beech trees, our cosy, straw bale barn is an ideal place to come and relax and to leave the world behind. The barn is detached and is surrounded by trees, open fields and the sound of birds and running water.

The Shippon is a meticulously converted cow barn with heated, polished concrete floors, gently curving deep green walls, hand-built kitchen, warmly lit reading nooks, & natural materials. Woollen blankets, feather sofa, antique Scandinavian log burner, king-size bed with French linen & down, waterfall shower, & the softest towels. Our sleepy Devon hamlet is only lit by stars at night. The Maple Room, Totnes, Guest Suite own entrance.

Welcome to the Maple Room, a private en suite guest unit in our family home. The room has its own private entrance, it is completely self contained and comprises of an entry room and an en suite bedroom. We are in the beautiful medieval "river and market" town of Totnes, home to many independent shops and eateries, close to beaches, Dartmoor and many walking and hiking trails. Our house is on a hill overlooking the town, with gorgeous views, and the high street is a 10/15 minute walk away.

The Apiary is a converted hayloft sitting at the end of a 16th Century Dartmoor Farmhouse, a short ten-minute walk from Widecombe in the Moor and 200m from the Two Moors Way. With it’s own private parking & entrance, the elegantly furnished room features an eclectic mix of antique furniture and Smeg kitchen appliances. From April to August, wander 50m down the road to a five-acre wildflower meadow with a Dartmoor stream and a collection of wild orchids & swathes of native wildflowers.

Higher Brook Shepherd's Hut

Our newly built Shepherd's Hut is self-contained in its own plot at the end of our back garden with direct, private access down a path alongside our property. The hut lies on the fringes of Totnes, in a secluded location with views across fields towards Haytor. A welcome breakfast of bread and cereals is provided on arrival, with tea and coffee available. We are always available should you need tips on where to go or can leave you to discover and enjoy this area entirely on your own.

Hatchwell Stable - A luxury hideaway for two.

From your own private terrace enjoy the fabulous views of Dartmoor National Park. Full of character, our pretty converted stable block offers luxurious self-contained accommodation for a couple seeking a romantic getaway or those wanting to find some solitude away from the hustle and bustle. Hatchwell Stable is situated in a remote location surrounded by fields but is only a short drive from the heritage market village of Widecombe-in-the-Moor. Excellent links to Exeter 27 miles

A little unique gem full of character to enjoy

The Forge is a unique place full of character set at the edge of Dartmoor and only 2 miles from the market town of Tavistock. The Forge is a great place for cyclists and walkers, or if you just want to get away from it all. The Cornish Coast is not far and the city of Plymouth full of history is just a short car journey. Tavistock has the markets and lovely cafes and restaurants. The Forge has a log burner to snuggle up next too on those chilly evenings and a garden to enjoy.

Ruby Retreat Shepherd’s Hut in Devon

Ruby Retreat is a unique Shepherd's Hut hand built in larch, cedar and ash by local carpenter, Peter Milner. His skilled design and craftsmanship gives Ruby a very special feeling. She is brand new for 2023. She sits in her own secluded position on a working Devon farm. The views over the glorious Devon hills are truly captivating. There is nothing to distract you from gazing at the fields, hills, woodland and distant church spire (well, maybe some sheep and lambs frolicking).

North Barn on the banks of the River Dart

North Barn is an 18th century stone building, bursting with character, set on the banks of the River Dart. Originally a corn collection point, North Barn has been renovated to a beautiful, romantic ‘one-room-living’ self-catering space. The atmosphere is fresh and light, with skylights that make even the dullest of days seem bright. The patio doors open up on to a large deck area overlooking the river from an elevated height thus giving you great views across the River Dart.
