Step into one of the oldest homes in town, dating from 1884. Curated by the owners of the design studio Reykjavík Trading Co., The Garden Cottage has been completely remodeled to provide a unique feeling, with a lot of the furniture handmade or meticulously crafted and selected from their travels to California, Scandinavia & Mexico. The land behind The Garden Cottage is home to their designed greenhouse, communal garden, chickens and their most recent addition, The Shed which is their workshop / shop where you can visit for a coffee, buy pieces or see their process of making objects. Curated by the owners & designers of Reykjavík Trading Co. (an Icelandic / California homeware company) the Garden Cottage is their first project of creating a home space for guests to experience a unique & cozy feeling while visiting Iceland. The bottom floor of the 1884 built home has been completely remodeled for guests. Everything in the home has been either made by hand by R.T.Co. or selected from their collection of preferred products & appliances. Anthony Bacigalupo & Ýr Káradóttir, the owners of The Garden Cottage, live & work in the separate upper part of the historic home & their R.T.Co. workshop is located in the back of the garden for guests to visit, learn about the pieces being crafted, or just to have a cup of coffee. We wanted to create a place for guests to experience "slow living" & create a special stay. Having designed spaces for hotels, cafes, bars we decided to put our inspiration & collection into this project & build something completely one-of-a-kind in Iceland. The home was built in 1884 & we have been remodeling & bringing back the style it once was but also bringing back the garden & farm style that was once so prominent back in the day. We believe in hospitality to the fullest which sadly doesn't exist anymore in places. Since we live on the property we can answer any questions you have or have you in for a coffee if you need help deciding your journey in Iceland. The cottage is in the oldest part of Hafnarfjörður, a small harbor town. There are great farm-to-table restaurants, bakeries, live music, artist studios and swimming pools nearby. It’s conveniently located across the road from the town’s bus terminal. The house has three stories but is broken into two flats- we live on the upper floors with our children with separate driveway and front door- but we are here for anything you need or to have a coffee in the greenhouse! Our little town can be easily walked around & explored. Shuttle stops for airport & Blue Lagoon are 3 minutes walk next to the ocean & the bus terminal into Reykjavík is close as well.

Áskot Cottages, Holiday Home at a Horse Ranch

Áskot Cottages offer self-catering vacation homes located on a Family run Horse Ranch in South Iceland. This property offers landscape views to Vestamannaeyjar, Eyjafjallajokull and view over a field with the farm´s horses. Each house is provided with a well-equipped kitchenette, dishwasher and a washer/dryer machine. Urriðafoss Apartments is located in amazing nature, at the front of the waterfall Urriðafoss, that is located in the River Þjórsá in Southwest Iceland. The house was built 2018 and has a big windows so our guests can enjoy the view. The house is surrounded by beautiful wildlife at the summer time and the northern lights at the winter time. Urriðafoss Apartments is fully equipped with wifi, TV, combo washing machine and dryer, coffee machine, fridge, all necessary kitchen tools and hot tub.

Two floors. 3 large bedrooms, equipped kitchen, open living-and dining area w balcony, 2 bathrooms both w shower. Garden area, terrace and a small creek by the house. Recently renovated by the owners, a few families who share the love of Flateyri. Perfect for 1-3 families or a small group of friends. Excellent place to explore the Westfjords.

Krumsholar farmstay 2 bedroom apartment

The apartment is spacious and comfortable with everythink you might need for your stay. The apartment is located on a farm 7 km from Borgarnes and 80 km from Reykjavik. The farm is 1 km from road nr 1. The view from the apartment and the surrounding area is very beutyfull. We have horses, chickens and dogs on the farm. The horses are very friendly and love attention. This is a very good spot to view the northern lights from late august-april if the sky is clear we can usually see them.
