Step back in time with this original 1890s Appalachian solar powered off grid cabin. The cabin has been renovated with all the modern conveniences: solar-powered and includes hot water, gas stove, full bathroom w/ shower, refrigerator, sleeper sofa folds out to queen size bed. With each stay fresh towels and linens are furnished. Kitchen, hot/cold kitchen sink, K cup friendly coffee machine and more! Covered front porch with bench and 2 rockers. Off the porch is a picnic table and gas grill.

We are an ATV friendly town and house is located in a friendly Quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking.

Located approximately 6 minutes to War, WV and HMT trailhead. A Short, nice ride to the Wilmore Dam, and to High Rocks. NEW ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR LARGE TRAILERS across the street from the Cottage. In addition to approximately 50 ft. in front, 40 ft. in back, 30 ft. on the side of the cottage. SEE PARKING PHOTOS. We are on Rt 16, part of the ”Head of the Dragon” Motorcycle Riding Route in Caretta, WV. You will have easy on/off access to “Warrior Trail” from Caretta or War.

Enjoy this home located in the country side of Abingdon, Virginia, where we join a farm. Minutes away from the North Fork River, Creeper Trail, Barter Theater, & historic Abingdon & 10 miles to Bristol, VA. Early check in may be available. We welcome travel nurses or other long term workers. This is a one bedroom with a pullout sofa bed in the living room. Keurig, Roku-TV, a small fan for noise, and rocking chairs on the front covered porch, the back deck is more private.

You can purchase beef, pork, and chicken to cook while you’re here or bring a cooler and take some home.

If you are looking for a place in Bluefield, VA that is within a few mins from everything, this is the place for you. You can also relax out back with a serene view of the water.
