Miller’s Rest is a self-contained one bedroom cottage with private parking and 2miles from Orton, 5 miles from Shap. The cottage is peaceful with plenty of space and all modern amenities. The bespoke kitchen is well equipped, living room has a log burner effect electric fire for those colder nights. The bedroom has an ensuite shower room and large wardrobe. There is a small stream running alongside the garden lovely for sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine, relaxing and watching the birds.

This cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Be in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, breath in the fresh air and come home to your own modern yet country-feeling cottage. Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!
