Paddock Cottage is a delightful detached cottage which sits on an elevated position within a small hamlet of barn conversions located adjacent to the Deerness Valley Walk and a wealth of bridleways which is the perfect destination for walkers, cyclists, horse riders & mountain bikers The cottage has recently been renovated with a cosy open plan lounge, wood burning stove and free sat TV The well equipped kitchen includes electric oven/hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster & air fryer

The cottage is a 2 bedroom mid terrace which sleeps 4 people. It comprises of entrance hall front living room with entertainment wall hosting the 58” smart TV. The dining room has a log burner. There is a well equipped fitted kitchen with dishwasher. A fully fitted bathroom with double ended bath and separated corner showeR. Oil central heating with double glazed anthracite windows and doors. Free car parking places front and rear of the property and a block paved private seating area.

The village is an ideal place to stay in County Durham with Durham City only a 15 minute drive and Newcastle a 30 minute drive where you will discover stunning architecture, shopping centres and restaurants galore. You will be spoilt for choice!

We have recently updated our Dairy cottage, by fitting an new kitchen and new windows ! Our Dairy cottage has a double room and a twin room, a modern bathroom, and a cosy living/dining/kitchen area with Smart TV and a wood burning stove ----- the stove is just for fun, there is gas central heating as well to keep it toasty warm. Set on a working sheep farm, the cottage is a great base for local attractions like Beamish Museum, Durham and Hadrian's wall.

The Oaks

The Oaks is attached to our home. It has its own private entrance from the outside and internal doors are locked. It is an ensuite room set out like a hotel room. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS OUR FAMILY HOME AND IS NOT SUITED FOR A ROMANTIC/ PASSIONATE NIGHT AWAY BUT FOR GUESTS WANTING A PEACEFUL GETAWAY.. Wooden stairs lead up to this first floor bedroom that has its own decked area with outside furniture to enjoy the fantastic views.

Welcome to 1 Station road, an 18th century upstairs dwelling we lovingly restored to become a 6 capacity dog friendly holiday let in 2024. The building began life as a school house and went on to become a number of businesses, the last of them a pet shop that we now own and run. Further ventures include an old ice cream shop serving ices and confectionery, all on the doorstep of 1 Station Road.

Farthing Cottage is a quaint old farm workers cottage that has been brought back to life with a full renovation. It is situated in the quiet village of Satley where there are some beautiful walks. Local attractions are Hall Hill Farm, Beamish Museum, Hownesgill Tea Rooms, Hamsterly Forest, Chopwell woods, Bowes Museum and Raby Castle to name just a few.
