Our secluded cabins are on top of a mountain with on-property access to the Doe Mountain Recreational Area Trail #15. Close to National and State Parks, Skiing, Hiking, Watauga Lake, Boone and Blowing Rock, NC; Damascus and Abingdon, VA . We are centrally located to major attractions but be careful if sightseeing, adventure, or family fun is on your agenda. Once you are here, you might not want to leave. Located less than 10 minutes drive to Damascus and the famous Virginia Creeper Trail! If you love hiking, three additional trails: Laurel Creek, Gentry Creek Falls, and the Appalachian trail are all within a few miles of our lovely home. Grayson Highlands State Park, Mt. Rogers Recreational Area, Backbone Rock, Abingdon VA, and Boone, NC all make easy day trips. *Note: the Creeper Trail from WhiteTop to Damascus was destroyed by hurricane Helen. The 2nd half, from Damascus to Abingdon is open.

NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

A Dream by the Stream is a very private and rustic 2 Br/2Ba log cabin overlooking a bold stream on 10 beautiful and remote acres with walking trails, a pond with dock, campfire pit, and amazing garden stonescape. Our 750 sq ft. Cabin offers WiFi, streaming TV, central AC and heat, fully stocked kitchen, coffee provided, towels, comfortable bed and quality linens. We are 1/2 mile from the North Fork of New River. It's a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy the mountains. Dogs welcome!

The North Star Dome

Unplug & reconnect with nature! CLOSED FROM JULY 1st TO AUGUST 20th, 2026. The Dome is designed for fall, winter, and spring camping. Please book your summer camping trip at our second site, the Shooting Star tent site! The Dome is nestled on our farm's off-grid hilltop. Tremendous mountain views, peace, and animals! This is CAMPING, elevated with comforts. You bring: Queen size bedding, drinking water, cooler, & firewood. Outdoor shower OPEN till October 1st Pets allowed on leashes.

3 bedroom mountain retreat!

New Starlink internet installed Only a half mile to the Ridges wedding venue! !Our little peaceful home is located in the Kettlefoot black bear reserve. Bears can sometimes be seen crossing the road or strolling thru the fields Damascus and Mountain City are only minutes away! Our place offers a big yard to enjoy along with a fire pit with firewood furnished. Cornhole and board games are also available. A nice sitting area on the covered back porch to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

River House

The River House is a quiet two story farm house that sits on the South Fork of the Holston River. It is halfway between the trail town of Damascus and historic Abingdon. Enjoy the relaxing wrap around porch where you can hear and see the sights of the river. A short walk from the driveway is the Virginia Creeper Trail, the perfect place to hike, bike, or just walk with family. Fish along the bank of the river or take a short trip to the town of Abingdon to visit the Barter Theatre.

Riverfront Hot Tub in Damascus

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful and private home on the Whitetop Laurel creek, ranked one of the top wild trout streams in the eastern US. The RiverHouse is walking distance to downtown, the creeper trail and Appalachian trail. Bird watching, fishing, bonfires, grilling, hot tub, kayaking, tubing, tent camping, bike riding.. there’s opportunity for it all on the property. Stay and play in the backyard by the river or explore the town of Damascus and all its charm!

The Bungalow at Grandpa's Mountain

The Bungalow is a cozy not-so-tiny home at 420 sq ft. A 16x20 Gothic Arched building designed and built by the owner. Besides a fully equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, and comfortable sleeping quarters, you will find wonderful amenities outside! Views of mountains, pasture, and woods. Relax in a hammock or tell your secrets to Drifter the horse. Often Mr Groundhog or the Deer family will visit, too. The Bungalow at Grandpa's Mountain is a quiet getaway.

BEAUTIFUL SETTING by the River ONLY 6 mile drive to DAMASCUS ,VA! This quaint, private RUSTIC log cabin is newly furnished, screened in porch, gazebo and nice trails! Nestled on 7 acres with 8 ponds. Hear the sounds of the creek right behind the cabin and cross the bridge to see the horses! This Land was home to the Cherokees and offers not only a place to stay but an experience. One time PET FEE $90.00 for ONE dog, additional dogs $35/each

New Wood Cabin located off hwy 58 , 8 min from Abingdon Va , 8 min from Damascus Va . It is one mile to Abingdon Vineyard , and 1.2 miles to the Alvarado Station on the Virginia Creeper Trail , and 10 mins to the Barter theater . Enjoy the Blueridge Mountains where you can hike bike and fish . And unwind to great view from covered porch . There are 7 step to enter with plenty of free parking. We are dog friendly limit 2 bowls and bed provided .

Fisherman by the Creeper and river - Huge Porch!

Our Fisherman cabin has two bedrooms with queen sized beds, one full bathroom, and sleeps four guests. The front of the cabin faces the river and the back is just steps from the Creeper Trail.
