Gardener's Cottage* - Sleeps 3

This charming cottage offers everything you could need for a tranquil stay within Edinburgh. Just a few minutes away from regular buses that have you in the city centre in less than 20 minutes. The spacious bedroom comfortably accommodates a double and single bed. Located within The Drum Estate, this cozy setting allows you to enjoy our delightful cottage in its beautiful rural surroundings. It's your slice of country life whilst being a short distance from the vibrant city centre of Edinburgh.

Log Cabin in Auchtertool.

The Log Cabin is situated in 3 acres of garden, shared only with our own house. Guests are welcome to make use of the garden. The Cabin sleeps five people and we have a travel cot if required. There is one large bedroom with two kingsize and one single beds. The Cabin does not have TV or wifi, however it does have an excellent 4G signal. We welcome well behaved pets, up to a maximum of two small dogs or one large dog, even a cat. We ask guests who bring pets to vacuum before they leave.

Sitting completely on its own at the edge of the moors, this off-grid modern cabin offers total tranquillity. Head out hill walking by day, then return to relax by the roaring fire and gaze up at the stars.

Gardener's House

Built in the 1700s the Gardener's House is set into the old Walled Garden in the stunning grounds of Arniston House, a William Adam Stately Home. A secluded, picturesque two storey house with wood burning stove for winter or glass patio doors that open onto the walled garden for summer. An 11 mile trip to Edinburgh’s first class art galleries and museums, the capital’s eclectic mix of restaurants and bars plus its boutique shopping experience all adds up to a great day out.

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

Luxurious modern apartment in Edinburgh's fashionable West End - a few minutes walk from Princes Street and the Castle, both train stations, and all that Edinburgh has to offer. Comprising the entire garden level of a Grade A-listed Georgian townhouse, the flat is spacious and tastefully decorated with a large private outdoor garden and off-street parking. Close enough to walk to everything in town, but beautifully quiet. Travel crib and high chair on request.

The Bothy is stylishly converted from two jold stone farm cottages into a luxurious 2 bedroom cottage. The decor is a mix between birch ply panelling and polished cement, giving it a modern Scandi/Scottish feel, yet not losing its original charm and farm history. Some of the furniture has been made from beech and cedar from our farm. With view across the River Earn and surrounding hills, this is a perfect place to come, explore, unwind and relax.

Hike or trail run right from your front door, or head off mountain biking, wild swimming, or bird watching. Just 2 miles from the Hillend Snowsports Centre if you’re looking to practise on the dry slopes. After a full day of activities, enjoy the views from the garden or just chill inside in front of the woodburning stove.

Spend your day walking , cycling , or visiting local towns , and your evenings in the peaceful hamlet of Macbiehill where you can enjoy the quiet and tranquil surroundings, and maybe even soak in the outside bath and star gaze.
