Old Town Manteo is a charming harbor town where you will feel far from the beach boxes and OBX crowds. Longacres is 1 mile from downtown, a 5 minute walk to the Roanoke Sound and a 12 minute drive to the Nags Head beaches. To complete your adventure, we provide bikes and kayaks so you can explore the water and town at your own pace.

Since our guests are coming from out of town we do provide some beach items including two beach chairs and two boogie boards as well as a few beach toys!! (See Second Wind and Cackalacky Dreamin' to rent together.) Beach access is just 100 yards away, down a secret path just steps from the cottage! Step out on the front porch to chill, read a book or chat with family and friends. The back deck includes adirondack chairs, picnic table, and a park grill for grilling.
