The Cuckoo's Nest Glamping Huts: Woody

This is one of two glamping huts at The Cuckoo’s Nest. Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these little wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Conveniently located approximately a mile from the main road linking the Isles of Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, the huts offer an idyllic base from which to explore the islands, to pause whist travelling along the Hebridean Way, or to take a relaxing short break.

Welcome to our wee pod, Birdsong. Built by local tradesman, John Angus Murdoch, our pod is spacious, well presented and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. Situated in the quiet village of Lochboisdale, just a stones throw from the ferry terminal. Birdsong is a fantastic base for exploring our stunning landscapes and wildlife. Enjoy the splendid sunsets from the decking and wake up to the sound of beautiful birdsong. This is one of two glamping pods at Croftend Glamping.

Our magestic window allows you to enjoy all the moods of Skye from morning to night. The cottage is located 5 min from Neist Point, 15 min formThree Chimneys world class restaurant, 25 min from Dunvegan Castle. The perfect location for a quite yet active holiday. In the evening, relax in front of a log fire or watch the stars.

Caravan On The Croft

2 bedroom caravan with gas central heating. Master bedroom has a Double size bed an en suite and plenty storage. Second bedroom consists of 2 single beds and storage. Main bathroom has a fully closed walk in shower. The Kitchen/living area is open plan with a large fridge freezer, gas cooker, microwave, kettle & toaster. The living area has a 32" smart tv with freeview, electric fire and 2 recliner sofas. The living room opens out on to a patio area via double patio doors.

Croisgeir Self Catering Pod

A self catering pod in a quiet area, five minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach on the west coast of South Uist. Close to the renowned golf course designed by old Tom Morris. Great for local Trout, Salmon & Sea Trout fishing and a great base for those who like hillwalking. Listen to the corncrake call from the outside picnic bench. Bicycles can be stored in the shed. Croft No.9 ...

No.9 is a traditionally built croft house situated in beautiful Glendale! A perfect base for walking and exploring this very special part of the world. Glendale lies 8 miles , north west , from Dunvegan where there are a couple of restaurants, bakeries, cafes, a petrol station and a very well stocked licensed grocery. Glendale is well served by a Post Office which also supplies all the basics...and much more! Beautiful Neist Point is about 4 miles from Croft No.9.

Locheynort Creag Mhòr

Brand new for 2020, this chalet is a luxury hideaway in the heart of South Uist. The chalet is set in a stunning location, nestled snugly amongst the hills of Locheynort on the shoreline of a breath-takingly beautiful bay. The chalet is ideal for a peaceful, relaxing holiday and is also an excellent spot from which to explore the neighbouring islands, either by car across causeways or by taking ferry journeys to Barra in the south or Harris/Lewis in the north.

Newly installed in 2021, the Cabin (often called a Storm Pod) is a self-contained luxury haven. Perched beside a small fresh-water loch and overlooking Loch Boisdale. It has a ¾ double bed, single bed and a fold-down bunk. Cooking facilities and a separate shower with WC. Outside there's a fenced courtyard with great Hebridean views for your enjoyment. Although there is sleeping for 4 available, the accommodation is more suited to couples or single occupancy.

The Byre, Traditional Stone Cottage

Beautiful traditional stone cottage in the North West of Skye, close to Neist Point, Dunvegan Castle and the world-renowned 3 Chimneys Restaurant with stunning views of Loch Pooltiel and the Outer Isles. This cosy retreat was recently refurbished to a very high standard while retaining its original charm. A wood-burning stove, central heating and everything you would expect in a modern home will ensure your stay is peaceful, relaxing and very comfortable.

Four Winds is a stunning architect-designed house overlooking Loch Bhassapol. It is newly constructed within original stone walls and finished to the very highest standard. It is an excellent base for relaxing in comfort or enjoying watersports at the nearby loch and beaches. As featured in Grand Designs Magazine. Not suitable for children under 12 years old.
