Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Welcome to our cozy, art-filled studio in Duncan, Cowichan Valley. Whether you're here to relax or explore, it's the perfect home base. The suite is beside our home, with full privacy. Enjoy a deck, hammock, and year-round private hot tub. Inside, full-equipped kitchen with granite counters, a propane range, and a bar fridge. It sleeps four with a queen Murphy bed and a queen loft bed, both with organic sheets. Stay comfortable with radiant floor heating, a rustic fireplace, and AC for summer.

Our bright and cheerful suite is one bedroom with a double sofa bed in the living area. It is fully furnished with a full kitchen, complete bathroom facilities and washer/dryer. The suite is totally self contained with its own private entrance. Linens, towels, shampoos and utensils are provided together with coffee, fresh cream We are at the foot of Mt. Tzouhalem (Zoo-Halem), a popular hiking/mountain biking and walking destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Our suite is inspected and legal.

Vesuvius Village Cottage

This clean, cozy cottage with a Scandi feel is located a short 7 minute walk from the best swimming and sunset beach on Salt Spring. Equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, and queen bed this is the perfect spot to enjoy a taste of the Salt Spring life. Shop at a local farm stand and use the kitchen to cook up a farm to table meal. Then go for a walk to the beach to enjoy the best sunset on Salt Spring! After a quick walk home, a comfy bed awaits, or stay up and play one of many board games offered!

Cobble Hill Cedar Hut

With your own detached bathroom and kitchen about 30m from the Cedar Hut, this can be your cozy, heated one room glamping experience. A private spot on our little farm. We are settled on 9.5 acres which you are Welcome to roam. Farm dogs Klaus (Bernese/Aussie) and Pinkie (Dachsi) are friendly and keep busy with roaming the property. Our horses are your neighbors and you will most likely find us in the garden. Enjoy the tranquility and privacy of your getaway to relax. Two bicycles provided.

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

In a quiet suburban neighbourhood, a renovated, modern, clean suite with: 1 private BR w/ 1 queen bed, 1 queen sofa bed, 1 bathroom w/ tub, a full kitchen, and a laundry room. A five minute drive to downtown Duncan. There is a private entrance with a patio, and a parking spot outside your door. A heat pump, and a carbon and HEPA filter air purifier are installed for climate control. The tv has Netflix, Amazon, and Disney+. We are a small family who lives upstairs. Glen Eden Organic Farm is a lush 8.5 acre market garden nestled in the peaceful Cowichan Valley between Duncan (10 km) and Lake Cowichan (19 km). Our semi-detached, self-contained BnB includes a private entrance, porch, comfy queen bed, ensuite shower & kitchenette with fridge & microwave. Continental breakfast provided on arrival day. While production fields are fenced, the rest remains natural, allowing wildlife to move through and drink from our two ponds.

Please note that there is wi-fi at the cabin but no cell reception on the property, and many guests have mentioned that they’ve enjoyed the chance to unplug and connect with nature.
