Outside, beyond the patio with fire pit, is a private enclosed garden, beyond this, there is a woodland with bubbling burn (stream) and the estate grounds. The estate is in a Dark Sky national park and the Galloway Forest Park. Perfect for relaxation and exploration!

Cosy Cottage

The Old Post Office is a cosy little cottage on the High street of Scotland's smallest Royal Burgh. It was built in 1835 and was one of the many homes the local Post office has enjoyed over the centuries. There are steps up to the entrance and the staircase is quite steep and narrow so not suitable for all. The bedroom and bathroom are snug with low ceilings. The kitchen diner has a log burner for keeping the cottage toastie.

Marchfield Cottage is a recently converted barn in a quiet corner of Gatehouse of Fleet. Local pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops are all within a short walk. Other attractions on your doorstep include numerous walking trails in Cally Woods, on and off road cycle routes in the Galloway Forest and quiet beaches where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of this area.

Welcome to my cottage in the picturesque village of St John's Town of Dalry. It is a traditional Scottish cottage located on the village's second street, meaning peace and quiet are the order of the day. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and well equipped with all the essentials required for a self catering holiday.
