It has a heated indoor pool so even in the winter time you can enjoy the water with view of the lake. There is a dock as well. So if you happen to want to enjoy the lake, you can. Reconnect with nature in this off grid wild mountain setting. 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive access only. AWD SUBARUS get up just fine! Steep gravel road. There is 2 wheel drive parking space available with a steep 1/2 mile hike to the cabin. If we are close by we could arrange a shuttle… Bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels. Queen size and twin size for the bunk beds. We provide Pillows and lightweight comforter for you. Weddings available for an EXTRA CHARGE. See below.

Internet and power have been restored, and our property is ready to offer a lovely refuge for anyone needing a temporary place to stay. We are devastated by the losses experienced in Western NC and encourage any locals to reach out with a message prior to booking if you want to spend a few days at the Hemlock. We want to help.

Come get away from it all—while conveniently close to everything—at Laurel Branch Gardens, a 12-acre farm that uses organic growing practices. About 100 yards from the farm house, the cabin is a renovated tobacco barn with a sleeping loft, full kitchen, bathroom (with a shower and composting toilet), and living area. Meet the pigs and chickens. Lay in the hammock. Listen to bird calls. During June and July u-pick blueberries will be available for harvest for $3.50/lbs.
