The house is in a quiet hamlet, a 20 minute drive from Glasgow city centre. The house holds a good central position close to airports; Glasgow airport is 30 minutes away and Edinburgh airport is 40 minutes drive and is a good base for a variety of day trips in and around the city. Twechar is situated on the Forth and Clyde canal which is used for cycling, walking and kayaking. There are many walks in and around Twechar itself for instance the Roman Fort and easy access to the Trossachs.

Central location in the town close to public transport links to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and Falkirk and a few nice pubs and restaurants . The pet friendly (two maximum), self contained unit is a detached annexe, internal dimensions are 6m x 4m. Set amidst beautifully Japanese gardens, it has modern amenities having been completed in May 2022. The guest house is ideally located in Central Scotland with motorway access to all areas North, South, East and West, 5 minutes drive from the location. The railway station at Falkirk High with a journey time of 20 minutes to both Glasgow and Edinburgh is a 10 minute drive.

We are a short walk from Summerlee Heritage Museum, the Time Capsule Leisure Centre with Ice Rink and Water Park and Coatbridge Town Centre. We are also only a 10 minute walk from Sunnyside Train Station with direct train links to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Balloch Loch Lomond.

The property has ample grounds with lawns and grassed areas with uninterrupted panoramic views and also couple of friendly Pigmy goats. You can find highland cattle and horses in the fields nearby. Occasionally you can see deer in the open fields. It’s a perfect sanctuary to hideaway or for the more adventurous traveller to explore Scotland major cities Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Brockieside is an idyllic hideaway where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Central Valley and Pentland Hills offering seclusion, comfort and relaxation. There is an abundance of beautiful walks with waterfalls and a lush landscape. But it's only a 30 minute drive to the lively city centres of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. Not suitable for pets.
