Moon Bay Cottage is the quintessential Maine seaside retreat, tucked away in a small cottage community, with beautiful views, and only a few steps away to the private community beach on Penobscot Bay. We named Moon Bay Cottage for our favorite time to visit, when the moon is full, and the moonlight shimmers on the waters of Penobscot Bay. We invite you to come and fall in love with this wonderful spot where you drift to sleep listening to the lapping waters of the Bay, and calls of the Loons.

5 acres of lawns, gardens, and meadows and a gentle rocky beach on Blue Hill's Salt Pond, a protected inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. The house faces south towards the water and overlooks a gorgeous blueberry field that turns a majestic shade of deep red in the fall. A bird lovers paradise along with sightings of beaver & river otters. Trail from house leads to waterfront, canoes, paddles & PFD’s and a picnic table. We’ve maintained the antiquity of the house along with many antique pieces of furniture. Enjoy amazing sunsets, expand your birding life list, pick apples and blueberries in season. . . on a nature preserve.

If you are looking for a place to get away and relax, our house on Molasses Pond may be a good fit for you/your family. It is a hidden gem down a dirt road away from hustle and bustle. Peace and quiet is what you’ll find, along with a gorgeous view. It’s a great place for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, grilling, fishing, and laying on the hammock. We try to provide you with all the necessities you may need and are happy to answer any questions. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
