Boschfontein Mountain Lodge is a beautiful double storey sandstone lodge with stunning views of the Caledon River Valley and the Maluti Mountains, situated 18km from Ficksburg, on the Ficksburg – Fouriesburg road. This family run self-catering lodge has 4 units and can accommodate up to 18 people. Each comfortable unit has a bathroom with a basin, shower and toilet. The shared living areas include the kitchen, braai areas, bar, lounge and verandas.Shared living areas and units are cleaned daily.

The Garden unit is a small self catering unit with one bedroom and which has space for two children sleeping in the lounge area. It is surrounded by a wilderness area and with breathtaking views from every window.

The structure is more than a hundred years old, and perfectly preserved. 4 big sunny bedrooms, a large patio, a gorgeous kitchen and a kitted TV room on a plot beset with fruit trees - heaven.

The Stables, is a basic and rustic self-catering cottage situated on Franshoek Farm, in the Witterberg Mountains, near Ficksburg. The cottage is located on the sandstone bluff, over-looking a magnificent view of the Valley. As farm stay guests, you enjoy a fully equipped self-catering kitchen which enjoins a central living space with a fireplace. There is a braai and central firepit.
