The area is renowned for its water activities which include fishing, boating, sailing and scuba diving.Hill walking trails and cycling are also very popular.

The house is set in great privacy on 1.6 acres of gardens and woodland at the end a long driveway accessed through electric gates. Perfect location for enjoying local amenities or exploring the rest of Ireland - 2 hours to most tourist spots.

Garrykennedy village is a hidden gem beside Lough Derg. The rustic spacious family house can sleep 10 and is the perfect getaway, offering plenty of room for all the family. Board games will entertain you if the weather is poor. A 2 minute stroll brings you to the village which has 2 pubs, playground, marina and woodland trails to explore. Enjoy the picturesque starry nights. Priority is given to 5 days - weekly bookings in July and August up to the previous month.

Charming 15th Century Castle

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety and caters for up to Seven Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms and one single. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
