Or bike riding some of the 20km of cycling track around the lake edges or even some dedicated mountain bike trails nearby. We have two mountain bikes available!

'The Boathouse' Waterfront Studio, Swansea Heads.

2 PEOPLE MAXIMUM NO CHILDREN NO PETS NO COOKING INSIDE The Guesthouse is located on Salts Bay at Swansea Heads. Although it is on our property, it is completely separate to our house, with a private, waterfront entrance. Access is through our front gate, down a sloping path and a flight of stairs. Unfortunately is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Street parking is available. Free use of kayaks. You can swim directly in front of the studio, or from the sandy beach 100m away.

Max 2 adults, 1 medium or 2 small dogs. Nil Airbnb service fee charged.

It's quite romantic to sit in the moonlight and feel the lake breeze in the evening. It is only a 200m walk across Empire Park to the beach and a bit further along to great surf breaks and ocean baths. Walk along the Bather’s Way from Bar Beach to Merewether or up to the ANZAC Memorial Walk and into Newcastle city.

Our space is a small air conditioned bed sitting room a bit like a motel room with double bed, eating utensils, microwave, air fryer, plug in single pot cook top , a small kitchen sink and ensuite. There are French doors between the bedroom and the combined kitchenette/ bathroom. Tea and coffee provided (not breakfast) . Parking on very quiet street. No parking on site. The access verandah is shared by an adjoining occupancy.
