Great hiking and biking trails outside our door. 10 minutes to Taos ski valley. 20 minutes to Taos plaza. Must be comfortable heating with wood stove, off grid water system, and sharing a bath house. AWD/4WD may be necessary if it snows.

We have new hiking trails on the thirty acres around us. One can also walk right into the Carson National Forest and have another 40,00 acres to roam. 59 miles to Santa Fe, 35 miles to Taos. 3 RV hookups for extra charge. Horses allowed. The Casita at Prado Verde Ranch

The Casita at Prado Verde Ranch has a rustic feel and will take you back in time. The ranch, located along the Chama River, is a 200-acre working ranch in Abiquiu NM. The main ranch house, well over 100 years old, is home to the Newell family and Newell Cattle. It is winter pasture and spring calving grounds for the cattle. The home site was originally settled by Bartolome Trujillo in the 1734. Pottery shards found in the pastures indicate that this site was a Native American settlement.

Please know that this is a NO PET property! The perfect tiny home base for all your adventures. Equipped with all the benefits of home, just on a smaller scale. Fully functional kitchen & bathroom. We’re located between Taos & Questa. Hiking, biking, rafting, fishing are all nearby, or go check out some of the hot springs instead. If you enjoy star gazing then you’ll love our dark nights. You won’t soon forget the lovely, peaceful surroundings of this tiny rustic destination.

This cozy 2-story home sits on 10 acres in the Chama River Valley. A seasonal creek runs along edge of land with amazing mountain views. Ideal for a single artist, couple or small family. Hiking + hot springs nearby, including Ghost Ranch, Poshuouingue ruins & Ojo Caliente Springs! Most pets are welcome (for a pet fee). It's helpful to check in on it, however, due to our contained pups further back on the land. Open to longer stays at discounted price. Write about either to discuss!
