Beautiful, classic bungalow located in Cashmere, one of the highly desired suburbs of Christchurch, resting on the northern side of the Port Hills.

2 bedroom cottage, 2 bathrooms, 2 dining areas and 1 living area. Pull out couch for an extra guest.

Tranquil private garden. Unlimited wifi, tv and stereo and parking are provided. good section for kids and pets.

Walk to Bowenvale recreation reserve (great for walks or rides with sweeping views over the Canterbury Plains).

Welcome to your private base in Christchurch!

This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, 2 dining area, 1 living room house which has been equipped with everything you need to have a great stay.

Gas hot water, fantastic indoor/outdoor space and quiet location that is close to buses and local attractions, restaurants, shops etc.

Landline, unlimited wifi and TV, gas hot water, well-equipped kitchen, dishwasher, calefaction and all essentials available for when you need to escape the sun or the cold!

It's just a few minutes walking to Bowenvale recreation reserve, which provides a moderate valley walk takes you up gravel mountain bike tracks, through bush and tussock, and on to Victoria Park. There are other walking options here too: you can head for Summit Road or take the Hidden Valley Track. See below for links to more info on these.

You can Park at the end of Bowenvale Ave, off Centaurus Road, and walk up the multi-purpose (shared with mountain bikes and the odd 4WD)track. Signage describes the walk to Victoria Park as 45 minutes (one-way). The gradient is a moderate uphill climb, with the odd stile to climb and cattle-stop to cross. When we visited there was a port-a-loo in Bowenvale Ave, which was handy but I’m not sure if it’s there for the public or road workers!

If you want to try an authentic Italian restaurant check out the Italian restaurant (Casamasima) which is just a 12 minute driving.

Also there's a bakery, small supermarket, spa, medical centre, a local restaurant/pub and a farmer local market on Sunday called Opawa. - everything you need without needing to drive anywhere for supplies!

Note - there are beehives on the property But the bees won’t annoy you unless you disturb them.

This is a complete house. One bedroom has its own ensuite. You have access to the entire house and grounds. The only thing that will be restricted in the house is a study that will be closed. If you need a place to work, you will have a comfortable desk with its own chair at the end of the kitchen

The Cashmere area is located approximately five kilometres south of the central business district (CBD) of Christchurch. This largely hilly sector covers the area from Worsleys Road in the west to Port Hills Road in the east, tracing the Ōpāwaho / Heathcote River along Centaurus Road (the major natural recreational feature that borders this area), then across the Port Hills to the south of the city.

There are a number of buildings of historical significance on the Port Hills, including the Old Stone House, the Sign of the Takahe, the Sign of the Kiwi, the Beckerman park and Ngaio Marsh House.

The Port Hills provide a beautiful feature of the area, with Mount Vernon Park, Bowenvale Reserve and Victoria Park all being host to many recreational activities.

The recreational opportunities the Port Hills offer continue to attract large numbers of people from across the city to the area. There is currently a significant development being proposed in the area by Select Evolution; The Christchurch Bike and Adventure Park are open after a remodelling.

Quiet short walk (7 min) to St Martins located at 89 Centaurus Rd, where you will find dairy stores, bakery, restaurant/pub, local supermarket, spa and medical store.
