The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop. A one bed roomed but spacious bungalow, converted from a farm building. Set amongst beautiful Northumberland countryside. The coast is about 30 minutes away, plenty of National trust buildings and interesting gardens within an hour including Alnwick Castle & gardens (Harry Potter/Downton Abbey film location), Cragside, Wallington etc Well and comfortably furnished. Wifi. A good place for couples and solo adventurers. Matfen hall and Vallum 5 miles or so away if you are coming to a wedding

Dog- friendly cottage with woodburner & games room

Ivy Cottage is the perfect size for 2, although it can accommodate up to 4. Ideal location, for cycling, walking, fishing and playing golf. There are dog-friendly pubs and cafes within walking distance, as well as a good selection of shops. We have an onsite games room, free for our guests to enjoy. We can accommodate 1 large or 2 small pets, however, please note, we do not have have a secure garden area. The cottage has many wonderful walks right on the doorstep for you to explore.

Great location in the heart of Embleton, close to the village shop, garage, pubs and restaurants and only 10 minutes' walk to the beach. Please be aware there are additional charges for pets of £10 per pet per night.

A wonderful spot from which to explore the rugged Northumbrian coastline, idyllic countryside and magnificent, enchanted castles. Wildhope View is a cosy, romantic retreat with spectacular views of the rolling hills of the Aln valley and the, “18 arches” viaduct built in 1849 by Robert Stephenson.
