“The Manjuyod Sandbar is branded as the Maldives of the Philippines. This hidden gem situated in Negros Oriental and has been an offbeat destination because of its 7 km stretch powdery white sand and clear blue waters. It is best enjoyed on low tide. ”

“This pristine 7 kilometer stretch of premium white sand can be accessed via a short 15 minute boat ride from Capiñahan Wharf in the South Bais Bay. It is basically an island towards the North Bais Bay in the Tañon Strait that emerges only during low tides. On the island you can find native wooden houses built on stilts – and which, during high tide, appears to be floating on the water. These cottages could be rented for overnight stays. It is also a major stopover during dolphin and whale watching group tours organized by the Bais City Tourism Council. The boat is temporarily anchored so that the guests can picnic, swim, sunbathe, and laze around, snorkel or scuba dive in the waters.”

“Only 400 meters away is your regular typical Filipino bakery serving fresh baked goods and softdrinks. A few meters away is the Won Ka Fastfood Restaurant and the Old Amorganda Mini Mart.”

“Well why not coconut? Located on the corner of the Dumaguete North Road which is also known as the National Highway, and Aguinaldo Street (Which is mislabeled as P.T. Villanueva Street on Map). Offers a selection of Chicken Inasal (barbeque) and the option to go unlimited rice. Also serves Bangus (milfish) Sisig and the all time favorite Pork Sisig (for foreigners please google it... and give it a try.), they also have Lumpia Togue, please google it and Halo Halo. If you're stomach is up for it you can walk down the road from Mang Inasal and check out the Bais Night Street Food Market where various stalls serve all sorts grilled and fried food. ”

“There are winding boardwalks right out over the water in the mangrove and finally ending at a landing where locals love to swim.......climb and jump from the trees into the beautiful water. Great place for picnic. There is also a restaurant, but it is not always open. Bring your sandwiches just in case.”

“In Bais you can go with a pump boat to see the free living dolphins (unfortunately you can not swim with them) and after that you can go to the white sand bar to relax. ”
