There's LOTS to do around here...
BATCHELOR HERITAGE TRAIL
Walk (or drive) . There are interpretive signs through and around the town providing information about this little town's rich history as Australia's first Uranium mine, the horticultural food trials undertaken on the excellent soil around here and early history from pioneer days. You'll find a brochure containing the trail map on the brochure stand near the front entrance of LTR.
BATCHELOR MUSEUM
A wonderful collection ... especially for those interested in the Top End's place in defending Australia during WW11.
ADELAIDE RIVER TOWNSHIP / PUB
Close by is the township of Adelaide River... home to Charlie the Buffalo of "Crocodile Dundee" movie fame who stands on the 101 Bar in the Adelaide River Pub. A favourite with locals and travellers alike - a really chilled-out waterhole offering cold drinks and good tucker (food) in a lovely garden setting.
ADELAIDE RIVER WAR MEMORIAL
Of significance is the Adelaide River War Memorial - honouring those who saved our country from invasion by the Japanese in the 'Bombing of Darwin' (which was really the invasion of Australia); WW1 and WW11. A beautiful, well-kept garden cemetery - well worth a visit.

All over the Top End, peak tourism season is Jun - Aug.
Ensure you book accommodation
AND, be warned that internet/wi-fi is very patchy unless you're in a populated area so screenshot important info, maps, etc.
Cách đi lại
Minimise insects in the house
Use lamps instead of room lights... it will make a big difference.
Những gì cần đóng gói
Mosquitos
Pack insect repellent as the mossies can be viscious. And if you get bitten DON'T scratch as you may run the risk of them forming 'tropical ulcers'. Dab tea tree oil directly on the bites every few hours to kill bacteria and reduce itchiness.
Đi cùng trẻ nhỏ
Don't walk around outside in the dark
... as this is when a whole new world of creatures come out to play; including snakes, cane toads, lizards, etc.
Got the picture??
Remember... you're adjacent to native bushland that is filled with wildlife of all types (some nice; some not so nice).
